Fortress are pleased to announce that they have recently tested a roof light in the Reynaers “CW50” curtain wall range to the newly proposed CWCT Technical Note 66 & 67 .
The test carried out at Wintech on the 6th May 2010 passed the “Class 1” test and adds a further string to the Fortress bow.
“Fortress was approached by Reynaers to carry out the test on their behalf due to our experience in the testing of roof glazing, it was nice to be recognised as one of the market leaders in this area ” said Ian Hutchinson the Fortress partner responsible for operations. “ we are one of the few whom have developed the Safety and Fragility test for roof glazing in the UK”
Ian was also present during the testing and was impressed by the way the curtain wall section coped with the new standard and was pleased to add another “PASS” to their ever growing portfolio.
The roof test was carried out for the Carillion school projects currently being undertaken in the Manchester area “Tameside Schools” and will assist in the delivery of the projects to the high standard required by Carillion.
This is the Fourth test undertaken by FAS for Carillion with a “Pass!!” accredited to each test .
